Citrus x meyeri - Meyer Lemon
Growing Meyer lemon trees (Citrus × meyeri) in garden pots or the ground is a rewarding experience. Not only are they prolific fruit producers, but their showy white blossoms are incredibly fragrant and beautiful, with shiny, dark foliage that adds additional interest.
Meyer lemons have a reduced acid content, and they tend to have a more orange rind colour. Their smooth, thin skin can be more susceptible to damage, so it is best to plant them in a sheltered area where wind is reduced. Meyers are nearly thornless and will produce fruit all year, but their main crop is in winter. Meyers tend to be smaller in size reaching around 2 metres when grown in the ground and they are also an ideal choice for growing in pots.
Plant only.
